Dear Friends and Families of the South East Consortium,
For over four decades, South East has been a place that people with special needs could call home. Whether you’re an athlete, an artist, or just looking to party with your friends, South East has a place for you here. We are proud of the friendships and experiences that we can provide to those who, for so long, often didn’t have a space they could feel included.
While we’ve found success, we are not without our difficulties. In the last year, we have faced severe delays in onboarding times for new individuals due to state induced holds and delays for individuals beginning the OPWDD process. While it was always a process that could be lengthy, the holds we’re facing now are months ongoing, with no clear decision in sight.
With this in mind, South East recognizes that onboarding new program participants will be a slower and more challenging process. South East is nothing without it’s individuals who call these programs home. Without a steady stream of new individuals, it is more important than ever for South East to gain support in all ways we can.
South East is currently aiming to raise at least $75,000, which accounts for roughly 10% of our operating budget. Your support is what keeps our doors open and our programs running. Whether you’re in a position to give a little or a lot, every single dollar helps someone find real joy, confidence, and community here. (And if your employer happens to match donations, that’s an easy way to double your impact.)
You can make a gift online through our website, or just drop a check in the mail by downloading the donation slip below.
On behalf of every participant and family who has found their place here at South East, thank you for standing with us through thick and thin. Together, we can make sure we remain strong for years to come.
With gratitude,
SEC Benefit Committee
