Collaborating & building unique recreation opportunities for the I/DD Community.

The South East Consortium for Special Services, Inc. (SEC) is a not-for-profit community-based organization dedicated to providing therapeutic recreation programs and leisure-related services to children and adults with disabilities and other special needs residing in our member municipalities (Town/Village of Mamaroneck, Town/Village of Scarsdale, Town/Village of Harrison, Town of Eastchester, Town of Pelham, City of Rye, Village of Rye Brook, Village of Port Chester, Village of Larchmont, Village of Bronxville and Village of Tuckahoe). In 2016, South East was selected as an “Outstanding Special Needs Recreation Program” by Westchester Family Magazine.

Over 110 employees provide over 19,000 program and transportation hours yearly, to over 350 children and adults residing with their families and community residences throughout our municipalities. The organization was conceived to maintain and improve the lives of those it serves by offering comprehensive, age appropriate programs and services, suitable for people with different levels of ability and designed to have an impact on an individual for a lifetime. By collaborating and building unique positive opportunities and experiences through SEC programs, individuals perform better in all walks of life.
